These are the most common and uncomfortable states that we experience. Experiencing symptoms associated with past painful and traumatic events can trigger and keep anxiety and depression in place. I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing in order to recover motivation, perspective, and joy.
We are relational beings. We experience our greatest wounds and find our greatest strengths from relationships. Whether you want to explore your past, current, or future relationship(s), they are treasures of self discovery. Working individually or as a couple, we can process the excitement/anxiety of beginnings, pain/relief of endings as well as navigate the mystery/magic in between.
Learn your design and drive, your paths of stress and health, automatic reactions versus conscious responses, and how to best interact with others (partners, family, friends, colleagues). These transformational and relational tools also offer further expansive connection to the world at large.
Aligning with your authenticity unlocks your peace, passion, and power. However, this key of knowing your true self and courageously living a life that reflects that somehow gets lost along the way. You still have your own unique key within you waiting to be found.
We spend sessions exploring what needs to be healed, learned, or grown in you to find your key and have the courage to make choices aligned with your authenticity. I offer personalized perspective-changing processes through enjoyable, insightful, and intuitive interaction. My nearly 20 years of clinical experience as a licensed psychotherapist also provides a firm foundation for further personal exploration.
Teaching high school English lead to writing instructional materials and designing human-centered software for adults. I then wanted to teach in more depth and began practicing holistic psychotherapy. I'm grateful for my unique progression and blend of experience, knowledge, and approaches. I work creatively and intuitively with all 4 human "bodies": mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual.
Depending on client interest and need, our work may include and draw from: psychotherapeutic/spiritual exploration, shadow work, meditation/visualization, Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, EFT, energy psychology, personality drive integration using Enneagram, Human Design, Divination card drawings, intuition, and Reiki.
An English major, I took an elective Sociology class from a retired police officer professor. His street-wise stories and compelling compassion persuaded me to earn BA in Sociology as well. I then earned my Master in Teaching from Emory University (1993) to teach high school English for a year before taking. my writing, teaching, and communication skills to the emerging software industry in the 90s. While rewarding, I wanted to have deeper impact on people's lives. After benefiting from therapy myself, I was so inspired by what I had healed, learned, and how I had grown that I decided to change careers and become a therapist myself.
I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia (2003). In addition, I have over 22 years in shadow work, metaphysics, the Enneagram, and am a Reiki Level 2 Practitioner. I have completed all coursework through IITAP International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals.

...who we think we are and who we're becoming can seem too long, broken, or invisible. Let's start crossing despite it all, one step at a time, repairing along the way; seeing what we didn't know was there. In time, you'll be so far beyond the chasm you won't remember the moment of crossing.
In 2021, as we were reconnecting safely during that stage of the pandemic, an Atlanta news channel featured me, with my mobile office Sweet Journey, introducing my innovative approach to in-person sessions. Sweet Journey provided a creative and cozy space in that trying and transitional time for all of us.
